L’Europe comme l’École ?

Pourquoi les psychanalystes se donnent tant de mal pour réaliser un Forum sur le thème, « Désirs décidés pour la démocratie en Europe » ?
En dehors des psychanalystes lacaniens, peu d’autres savent quelque chose à propos de ce que peut être un désir décidé. Tentez donc de faire une analyse orientée par le réel jusqu’à sa fin, puis vous pourrez parler ! Peu de choses, comme une analyse lacanienne, mettent les désirs à l’épreuve de la castration, même lorsque l´on n’atteint pas celui qui se place si proche du réel, si proche qu’il effraie, qu’il n’est même plus un désir pur, mais un désir contaminé par la jouissance, ce qui fait os, cet os propre à chacun.
Décidés, parce que sans une décision de fer on ne fait pas une analyse jusqu’à sa conclure, mais aussi décidés parce qu’à la fin on en vient à en savoir un peu plus de cette jouissance particulière qui nous concerne et il n’y aura jamais rien d’aussi décidé, pour tout en chacun, que cette jouissance.
Mais l’analysant, lorsqu’il atteint ce point, sait aussi qu´il ne peut et ne veut pas rester tout seul dans sa jouissance autistique. Il sait, car au fond c’est pour cela qu´il a fait une analyse, que sa chance de sujet, la seule et unique, est celle de construire des ponts pour créer des liens avec les autres. C’est pour cela que l’École n´est autre chose qu´un lieu où chacun peut trouver sa place avec sa différence propre. « Une maison », me dit un jour un analyste. Un lieu où se sentir chez soi, un lieu où la singularité de chacun trouve sa place. Dans le lien, non à travers l’intention ou la volonté. Non, ce n’est pas le moi qui établit cela. Mais parce que le lien se tisse, si, et seulement si, chaque être parlant se risque à entrer en relation avec d’autres êtres parlants, à partir de la singularité de chacun, sans se dire qu’il y a quelque chose à défendre, à cacher, ou à exhiber…
Pourrons-nous, voudrons-nous, nous, travailleurs décidés de l’École de Lacan transmettre quelque chose de cela, non seulement dans le Forum mais aussi et surtout au-delà de lui, dans la société civile de notre Europe, pour que celle-ci ne galope pas vers la fragmentation ?

Why are some psychoanalysts applying themselves to a Forum on the theme of “Determined Desires for Democracy in Europe”?
Few people know much about what a determined desire can be apart from Lacanian analysts. Try to take an analysis oriented by the real just up until its end – then you will be able to speak about it! Few things put desires to the test of castration like a Lacanian analysis, even if you don’t reach the point closest to the real – so close that it frightens you, so close that it is no longer pure desire but a desire contaminated by jouissance, the stuff that makes the bone, the bone that’s unique to each.
Determined, because without an ironclad determination you cannot carry an analysis to its end, and also because at the end you get to know something about the particular jouissance that concerns us, and there will never be anything more determined, for each one of us, than that jouissance.
But the analysand, when she reaches this point, also knows that she cannot and does not want to remain alone in this autistic jouissance. She knows – basically because she did the analysis for this reason – that her opportunity as a subject, the only one, is to build some bridges in order to create bonds with the others. Therefore, the School is nothing other than a place where each one can find her place with her own difference. “A home”, as an analyst once said to me. A place where you can feel at home, a place where what is most singular to each one finds its place. In the bond. Not by way of intention or will. No, it is not the ego that establishes this. But because the bond is woven, if, and only if, each speaking being takes the risk of entering into a relation with other speaking beings, on the basis of the singularity of each one, without saying that there is something to defend, to hide, or to show…
Could we – the determined workers in Lacan’s School – do we want to transmit something of this, not only in the Forum, but also and more importantly beyond it, in the civil society of our Europe, in order to prevent it from galloping towards fragmentation?
