The Pass & why it still matters for psychoanalysis today

The London Society will be hosting a 'pass testimony' by Patricia Tassara, who was named an Analyst of the School in 2017, after having successfully completed the procedure that Lacan invented to verify that someone had got to the end of their analysis and placed at the heart of his School: namely, the Pass…On this very special occasion, we will not only discuss what is at stake in the procedure that Lacan placed at the heart of his School, we will also hear first-hand from someone who has recently gone through the process herself and thus be better able to grasp – by hearing it demonstrated – why the pass still matters for psychoanalysis today.
