London Society Open Day

The London Society will be holding an
Open Day to introduce the overriding theme for our work for the coming year, along with various related aspects of our Programme. As in previous years, this year we will be following the theme for the upcoming NLS Congress, announced by the incoming President, Bernard Seynhaeve, at the close of the last Congress, along with its title – Urgent! It is a theme that can be approached in various ways and from various angles. Each aspect of our programme will take it up in some way. Speaking at this event will be: Philip Dravers, Susana Huler, Janet Haney, Peggy Papada, Gabriela Van den Hoven. In the spirit of openness, this event will be free! All are welcome, but places are limited. Please see our website for further

The Special Interest Group (SIG), Child and Adolescent Lacanian Psychoanalysis begins its 6th year of work. It is essentially a working group and aims to develop and share the specificity of the Lacanian psychoanalytic clinic with children and young people. It is a closed group which continues to grow through the work of its participants, who are both engaged with and wish to investigate questions pertaining to their clinical work (from a variety of disciplines). Led by Joanne Conway.

Introducing the Nottingham-Dublin Lacanian Studies Programme

Six guest speakers from the World Association of Psychoanalysis will introduce Jacques Lacan’s Seminar V, The Formations of the Unconscious, recently translated into English. The Seminar series will alternate between Nottingham and Dublin and take place over the course of six Saturdays in 2018.
