Laboratory for Lacanian Politics : "Bodies-Networks-Borders: the New Politics of the Not-All".
The first meeting of this year’s series of LLP seminars will be held at the Conway Hall on the afternoon of Saturday 3rd November. There will be an introduction to the theme of this year’s work – Bodies, Networks, Borders – along with references for reading and further topics of investigation. In our first meeting we will be exploring the links between this theme and that of the Forum of the Euro-federation of Psychoanalysis – Discourses that Kill – due to be held in Brussels on Saturday December 1st.
Mini-Marathon Reading: "Why War” & “Thoughts for the Times on War and Death".
After the success of our Marathon Reading of Freud’s "Group Psychology" in
the summer, the Freud Museum’s Education Department happily accepted our offer to help them stage another shared reading to commemorate the centenary of Armistice Day. We shall be reading "Thoughts for the Times on War and Death" (1915 SE14) and the exchange of letters between Freud and Einstein, "Why War?" (1932, SE22). We think this will be a beautiful and fitting way to mark Armistice Day and hope that some of you will be able to come and join us.

In our 1st session Susan Huler will give the first in her series of seminars on “The Time of Urgency – The Act”. The 2nd Session will feature the first of a series of seminars based around TLR6, containing a selection of essays on the theme of Time and Urgency. This session will be led by Philip Dravers and Janet Haney, both of whom were involved in the production of TLR6, which will launch the weekend after in Paris.

"Clinical Workshop" is an activity of BSLP, organized for the last several years, which opens a space for clinical discussion theoretically oriented by Lacanian psychoanalysis. The cases come from the clinical practice of a wide circle of professionals. Every meeting will give the opportunity of presenting and discussing two cases, written in advance and distributed to the participants.

Le séminaire a pour objectif de faire une lecture commune des textes de Freud au travers de la pensée lacanienne, ce qui constituerait une introduction aux discussions cliniques conduites dans le cadre des stages proposés aux étudiants qui sont suivies d’une réunion de consultation avec les membres du Cercle de Cracovie. La réflexion se portera sur les concepts fondamentaux de la théorie psychanalytique: l’inconscient, le transfert, l’analyse des rêves, les symptômes, etc.
