Our Agalmatic Capital
 
Analysts of the School have a desire for the pass, to make themselves the product of the dispositif that Jacques Lacan invented to show that a discourse – i.e. a structure without words – could produce unprecedented subject effects. In this respect, a speaking being that has taken his or her analysis to its end is an artifact of the analytic discourse. To go through the pass therefore attests to a singular and somewhat opaque desire to lend one’s signifying flesh to this experiment that the pass is – “the adventure of the century.”[1] This desire functions as the agalmatic capital of our orientation.
