Un amour qui supplée au rapport sexuel , qui dans un corps à corps pousse le sujet à croire à l’Un. « Le transfert analytique est fait de la même étoffe que l’amour vrai – pour ce que vaut la vérité. Fait de la même étoffe, soit d’une étoffe de par-être. L’amour ne vous donne pas accès à l’existence, seulement à l’être. Voilà pourquoi on s’imagine que l’être éternel exige votre amour. Cela donne le soupçon que si vous l’aimiez un peu moins, il serait peut-être moins éternel. Le lieu de l’Autre, qu’on appelle le lieu de la vérité, est celui des par-êtres. Dans cette logique, l’analyste situé au lieu de l’Autre est ni plus ni moins que Dieu. Cela fonde Freud à considérer, en s’appuyant sur la psychanalyse, que la religion est une illusion. »
